Vanessa Hudgens and costar Jena Malone pretty up the view as they pose for a few pictures for JJJ at the 2010 Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend.
The 21-year-old actress chatted with JJJ exclusively about her character Blondie and what you can really expect from Sucker Punch. Check it:
On just who her character, Blondie, is: "I really did enjoy [the machine guns] and hope to continue to do. She is a patient in the mental institute and is kinda a follower you know, she's just trying to get by and really plays out I think the vulnerability and the one that's a bit more timid to the whole plan of escape.
On what the whole process of the film was for her: "Amazing, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It's so much fun, it's almost like therapy and to blow off some steam I go and shoot my saw. It's exhilarating its such an adrenaline rush its unlike anything I’ve ever done."

Vanessa Hudgens Hasn't Been to Hollywood Bowl

Vanessa Hudgens and BFF Brittany Snow get in a little girl time in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (July 21).
The 21-year-old actress recently admitted to Access Hollywood that she hasn't been to the Hollywood Bowl yet. She shared, "Right now it's just another stage. If I saw it, I would be freaked out. I mean it, it's amazing. I'm just honestly trying not to think about it. I've never been to a show at the Hollywood Bowl so it's just gonna be another stage. And I just love performing, so I just can't wait to be up there."
Vanessa added, "We still have not started rehearsals. We only have about 10, 11 days of rehearsal so I'm just learning all the songs, making sure I know them in and out, so when I go all they have to do is tell me where to stand and how to move. I love the part of Mimi. She's a phenomenal character, she's such an amazing art, gets the best songs, and it's just a lot of fun."
Vanessa, with henna on her hand, and Brittany were spotted at the Charlie St. Cloud premiere last night to support Zac Efron. ARE YOU GOING to see Vanessa in Rent? Vanessa Hudgens Says 'Sucker Punch' Would Be 'So Badass' In 3-D

Vanessa Hudgens' upcoming film roles are definite departures from her squeaky-clean work in "High School Musical" -- particularly in the upcoming action-thriller "Sucker Punch," directed by "300" helmer Zack Snyder.
When MTV News recently caught up with the young star, at Neutrogena's Wave for Change with Global Giving, she revealed just how different the role really is. Hint: She's traded singing for slinging bullets.
Although the film will present at Comic-Con this weekend, Hudgens said it is far from completion. "It's probably, definitely not done," she said. "There's so much CGI in it, it's ridiculous."
Efron's 'Charlie St. Cloud' took over the weekend originally held by Hudgens' 'Beastly.'
It goes without saying that the inner workings of the film business are a mystery to most of those on the outside looking in. Sometimes, even the individuals closest to the projects are left in the dark -- particularly with regard to movie release dates.
Such is the case with Zac Efron's "Charlie St. Cloud" moving into the release date previously held by girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens' "Beastly." When MTV News caught up with Efron to talk about "St. Cloud," we asked him what he thought of his film taking over the "Beastly" weekend.
"It was disappointing," Efron said. "It was hard. I actually had to break the news to her. I was like, 'I think we are moving on to your date.' ... She took it really well, but it's hard when that kind of stuff happens. We don't, as actors, have any control over it, so we'll see. I mean, hopefully it will work out for the best. 'Beastly' is a great movie, and when it does come out, people are absolutely going to love it." ... Read More ...

The 21-year-old actress, who celebrated the Fourth of July holiday with boyfriend Zac Efron and many other friends in Malibu, recently opened up to Glamour mag about her love for animals.
Vanessa shared, "I love animals. Love, love, love, love animals. I have a toy poodle, Shadow. She's a little whippersnapper! And I love little monkeys."

Get Victoria Beckham started on the subject of denim, and the designer, former Spice Girl, and world-famous soccer mum can wax poetic to seemingly no end. "Fit is very, very important," she emphasizes. "You want a jean that is superflattering but also relatively practical. You need to be able to move around in it. When I wear a skinny jean," she says, "I like it to have a little bag around the knee and the ankle. It's more modern than something that is tight, tight, tight." And fabric and finish are no less paramount to the fashion doyenne. "I spend a lot of time making sure we get it right with the wash because there's a big difference between something that looks authentic and something that looks like it's been made," she says. That perfectionist attitude seems to be serving her well. Her denim line, which she describes as "fashion-forward and quite European," has a loyal celebrity following. But perhaps most telling of all, it makes the grade with Beckham herself. "Everything that I design, I wear," she says matter-of-factly. What could be more convincing than that?

Vanessa Hudgens is not a Disney kid anymore. This became very clear after my four-hour lunch-fueled shopping marathon in Beverly Hills with the self-described "shopaholic." Yes, she starred in the High School Musical series and lives just 10 minutes from her parents. But that's not the only side of her story: Hudgens, 21, has shot to adulthood. She's in a serious relationship with heartthrob Zac Efron, whom she met filming HSM nearly five years ago. She has her own home in Los Angeles. And her most recent roles are ones that'd make Gabriella Montez blush: She plays the daughter of a drug addict in next year's Beastly and a tough, edgy girl in the action fantasy Sucker Punch. Hudgens--arms full with two shirts, two pairs of shoes, pants and a belt, and hat in hand--told Glamour how growing up fast really feels.
GLAMOUR: I read that you were homeschooled. Are you grateful for that, or do you wish you had the typical high school experience? VANESSA HUDGENS: It was nice to stay away from all the drama. I'm not good with catty girls. I'm too laid-back.
